There are many options out there if you’re looking to buy an ATV storage box. However, it will depend on what you’re after if you want to get the best one for you and your four-wheeler. After doing a TON of research for my wife’s ATV, I’ve put together what I consider to be a list of the best ATV storage boxes for installing on the front of your quad, for installing on the rear, and for those who need an extra rear seat.

The best ATV storage box for either the front or rear of your quad should be well-built, well-designed, and practical. Whether you want an extra rear seat for a passenger or want to be able to store riding gear, tools, or small parts… these cargo boxes are all great options for adding more storage space to your four-wheeler.

NOTE: The Polaris farm quad we bought for my wife has a couple installed, and I’ve got to tell you – they’re a nice-to-have item. We use the front storage space basically every ride as it’s always got something inside. It’s also pretty cool having the extra passenger seat with storage on the rear as well, although we don’t use it as often as the front box.

Having a front storage box on your ATV is awesome, and this one from Camco’s Black Boar line is a solid choice. Basically, everything has been well thought out and planned. The installation is designed to be universal so that you can fit on all of the big brand name quads… and even the less-known manufactures. So whether you’re trying to fit your Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, or just about any other brand, this is probably the best ATV front storage box for the money.

Although not as popular as the Black Boar, Hapu makes a great option for anyone looking to buy a small ATV storage box for either the front or rear of the quad. With a minimal and sleek design, this is probably the best small storage box you can get for your ATV if you’re looking to throw a few misc. items into it and head out on the trail or around your property. Even though this is a low-profile box, its small design doesn’t stop it from storing all the necessary items. Overall, it’s a great option!

Also, being that this is a small option, you should still be able to fit any of the waterproof ATV covers over it, no problem.

The rear ATV storage box by Black Widow is one of the most popular cargo boxes for ATV enthusiasts available on the market. In my opinion, it’s just the right size, shape, and quality to make this a no-brainer… plus it’s a much better option than looking for an ATV storage bag. Although it doesn’t have an actual “seat” like the next option on this list, it does have a nice padded back… which makes it so that you can utilize the quad’s backseat and get the most cargo space possible.

If you’re looking to buy the best ATV storage box with a seat, look no further. Camco has stepped up and filled the void with this one. Although not perfect (because what is?), this is a solid option for adding extra storage to the rear of your quad, while at the same time, adding an extra seat for the Mrs., or just giving yourself a backrest for those longer rides or hunts. And even though it isn’t technically a waterproof ATV storage box, it is close. After looking more closely, some reviews on Amazon say that it is waterproof, even though the manufacturer categorizes it as water “resistant.”

Are These ATV Storage Boxes Worth Buying?

Without a doubt, yes, any one of these is worth buying… if you’ve got the money, do it.

Overall, having a front and rear storage box for your ATV is ideal, but not necessarily necessary. <- Fun play on words! 😉

If I were to choose just one, it would be either of the rear boxes. The reason I say this is because our Polaris ATV storage boxes are awesome, but I use the front rack more than the rear. I’ve got one of the seated options for the back and a large, standard box for the front. In the end, they are very nice to have and you’ll definitely like being able to stuff just about anything inside of them.
